How to change rdp Remote Desktop Protocol Port Number

  1. Start Registry Editor.
  2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TerminalServer\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\PortNumber

  1. On the Editmenu, click Modify, and then click Decimal.
  2. Type the new port number, and then click OK.
  3. Quit Registry Editor.
  4. Restart the computer.

Default port used by RDP is 3389
